Updating Fashionistas About the Ozark Cowgirl Fever Horse Blanket
Updating horse fashionistas about the Cowgirl Fever Horse Blanket

It was amazing in 2010 and equally amazing in 2011. I’m talking about the fever – you know – the Cowgirl Fever Horse Blanket. I’ve written about this most interesting horse blanket twice before and questions keep coming.

After the release of this blanket by Ozark in late summer of 2010, people rushed to get one. In a short time, trendsetters, tack shops and e-commerce sites snapped up all available blankets. A follow-up shipment arrived at Ozark and promptly sold out.

By now, people began scrambling to get one of the blankets and were paying over price. Ladies proudly “strutted” their Cowgirl Fever-dressed horses around at the horse shows and other functions, welcoming comments and allowing pictures.

When all is said and done, this Ozark horse blanket isn’t just a blanket or a colorful printed fashion for horses. This is a winter horse blanket turnout that is waterproof, well insulated and durable. It is a horse-clothing item that also happens to be fashionable in a contemporary chic style. The print incorporates the various popular symbols of today including the retro peace sign, a skull, and florals. It is a hardworking winter horse blanket that also happens to be attractive, colorful and trendy.

To quote myself, “This Cowgirl Fever blanket is a fabulous horse turnout.

It is well constructed, waterproof, insulated and breathable. It’s longwearing and durable - All these great things about this horse blanket and it’s good looking too.”

This really is a well-constructed turnout. It fits well, can be purchased with an open front or closed front and blocks inclement weather. The horse can move easily due to the generous shoulder gussets and the tail flap keeps out wind and rain on his backside as well. One thing worth noting is that this year, it is also
possible to purchase a ¾ hood in the same design to complete the look and provide almost total coverage.

The Cowgirl Fever is outfitted with elastic leg straps and belly strap surcingles that can be replaced without difficulty simply by snapping on a new one. Seems are reinforced and I am getting excellent customer testimonials.

My own store has sold a fair share of these remarkable horse turnouts. In fact, I have shipped them to both Switzerland and France. At this time, I have another shipment going to France to a different customer.

I wish I could state what’s happening with the Cowgirl Fever for the next winter season; I just don’t know. There have been pieces of gossip floating around but, truthfully, I am waiting for accuracy before I’m going to talk about it this time. Even the sales representatives at Ozark cannot state with absolute certainty what is planned at the moment for Cowgirl Fevers.

Meanwhile, if you like the Cowgirl Fever concept, you can even purchase a horse sheet – it comes with the lively print we have come to enjoy so much, and is bordered in black trim. It is contoured to fit very well and looks smart on the horse.

You know you love it. Go on, get one before they’re all gone again - Perhaps for good this time.

Stay tuned.
